:I am a very determined, highly responsible and creative out-of-the-box-thinker who perceives problems as challenges that can facilitate personal growth. I have been working as a language teacher (German and English) at all levels since 2005, focusing particularly on teaching students at university since 2008. Apart from language teaching, I also conduct research on teaching methods and teaching methodology and quality assurance in foreign language courses, including evaluation and student ratings. Additionally, I train teachers and give workshops on academic writing. In 2015, I was appointed Head of the Writing Centre of Graz University. Students evaluate me as an extremely empathetic, effective and exceptionally motivating teacher who has a clear and understandable teaching style and creates an atmosphere that is greatly conductive to learning. Colleagues know me as a very humorous, cooperative and conscientious team player and employers describe me as extremely reliable, convincing and highly competent – as also shown by my students’ outstanding achievements in their English tests. Native English speaker colleagues evaluate my English proficiency at native-speaker level, extremely comprehensible with a total command of both colloquial and formal aspects of the language. I am very familiar with both the American and British English forms and accents, and can clearly and effectively explain and demonstrate both to my students. I am looking for a permanent or long-term position at a university.
